Festive-all round in Friar Street!

When Worcester’s Victorian Fayre opens on 24 November 2016, live music will re-sound with the launch of the first ever Friar Street Beer Festive-all.

A live music stage outside the Cardinal’s Hat will host a variety of local bands and performers throughout the Fayre.  The Friar Street Beer Festive-all is being run jointly by the Cardinal’s Hat and Tudor House.

Traditionally one of the busiest areas of the Christmas Fayre, the organisers want to encourage the volumes of visitors to wander all the way along Friar Street, and expect that the Beer Festive-all and live music will assist.

“The timber frames of Friar Street buildings look particularly beautiful at this time of year,” says Helen Mole, Local Centres Officer, Worcester City Council.  “And because the street is so popular with visitors to the Fayre we want to create more space to view shops and businesses all along the road.  The historic theme always creates festive atmosphere: the Cardinal’s Hat is the city’s oldest pub and Tudor House is a wonderful showcase too,” Helen adds.
